Privacy statement

This page explains which personal data gocrazy.nl/cb collects, why, and what your rights are. Questions? Email info@gocrazy.nl.

1. What we collect

• Account: your email address and your password (the latter stored only in encrypted form, never readable).
• Profile: callsign, first name, area, country, frequencies, mode, SWR, an optional photo and an optional map location that you enter yourself.
• Use & security: your IP address and a login log with the country derived from it, to prevent abuse.
• Preferences: your language choice and your skip-alert settings.
• Messages: the messages you post on the board or as a private message.

2. Why we use them

Solely to run the service: showing who is online, messaging between members, email alerts you set up yourself, and protecting the site against abuse. We show no advertising and never sell your data.

3. Sharing with third parties

• ip-api.com: on login, your IP address is sent once to this service to determine the country for the login log.
• Anthropic (Claude): if a board message is in another language, the text is sent to this AI service for automatic translation.
• Email: notifications are sent through the host's mail server.

4. Cookies

We use functional cookies only: a session cookie to keep you logged in, and a language cookie (valid for one year) to remember your language. No tracking or advertising cookies.

5. How long we keep data

• Login log: 90 days, then automatically deleted.
• Login attempts: 15 minutes. Registration attempts: 1 hour.
• Your account and profile data: until you delete your account.

6. Your rights

You may view, correct (via your profile) or delete your data. You can fully erase your account yourself via "delete account" in your profile. For access or questions, email info@gocrazy.nl.
