Welcome!


This is your guide to the CB Radio platform. Completely free. This is a hobby project, built with passion for the CB hobby. There are no costs involved and that will stay that way.

You don't need to be a tech expert - below you'll find per section what you can do and how. Grab a cup of coffee and read through it at your leisure, or jump straight to the part you're looking for.

In brief

On this platform you can:

  • Create your own station with your callsign, location and frequencies
  • Indicate that you are online, so others can see you are on the air
  • See who is active on a world map
  • Post messages on the bulletin board — public or private, automatically translated
  • Report which stations you hear (spots), so others can see where the band is open
  • Follow other stations and receive an email when they come online
  • View the skip forecast for the 11m band and receive a notification when the band opens
  • Keep track of your QSOs in a logbook

The site is available in six languages: Dutch, English, German, Spanish, French and Italian. You can always switch in the top right corner.


1. Creating an account


Click on Register. You fill in:

  • Your email address
  • A password (minimum 6 characters), entered twice for verification
  • Your language — choose your own language from the list of flags.

After that you can log in. Your language choice is remembered and is important: private messages that others send you will be automatically translated into your language.

Tip: you can always change your language later using the buttons in the top right corner (NL · EN · DE · ES · FR · IT).


2. Logging in and forgotten password


Click on Login and enter your email and password.

Forgot your password? Use Forgot password. You will then receive an email with a link to set a new password. The link is valid for a limited time — so use it quickly.

You can log out using Logout in the top right corner.


3. Filling in your profile


Under My profile you set up your station. This is the heart of your presence on the platform. You can fill in:

  • Callsign — required, this is how others recognize you
  • First name and area/region
  • Country — required, determines where you appear on the map
  • Frequency 1 and mode (for example AM, FM, SSB) — your main channel
  • Frequency 2 and mode — a second channel, useful for dual watch
  • Dual watch on/off
  • SWR — if you want to display that
  • Photo/avatar — an image for your station (JPG, PNG or GIF, max 2MB)
  • GPS location — see below.

Don't forget to click Save.

Your exact location on the map (GPS)

If you don't enter GPS coordinates, you will be placed approximately at your country's location. If you want to appear at the exact right spot, enter your coordinates:

  1. Go to Google Maps
  2. Right-click on your location
  3. The coordinates will appear (two numbers) — enter them in the Latitude and Longitude fields

A nice bonus: if you enter your coordinates, the distance in kilometers will be automatically calculated in your QSO log.


4. Going online or offline


With one click you indicate that you are online. Others will then see on the map and in the lists that you are on the air (a green dot). When you're done, set yourself back to offline.

Did you forget? No worries — after a few hours without activity you will be automatically set to offline, and every night everything is reset. This keeps the list fair and up to date.


5. The map


Under Map you see a world map with all stations. A green dot means online, a grey dot means offline. Click on a dot for details: callsign, name, location, frequencies and optionally the photo.

If someone has entered GPS coordinates, they will appear exactly at their location (📍). Otherwise they will appear approximately at their country (🌍).


6. The bulletin board


Under Bulletin Board you post and read messages. You have three types:


For everyone (public)

Choose For everyone and type your message. It will be automatically translated so everyone reads it in their own language. Because such a message is visible to all members, the system will ask for a confirmation before it is posted — so you never accidentally post something publicly.


Private (to one person)

Choose Private and select in the list next to it who you are sending it to. The message goes only to that person and is translated into their language. Only you and the recipient can see it.


Memo for yourself

Under Private, choose the option Myself (memo). This saves a note that only you can see — handy as a reminder.


Deleting messages

Click the red cross next to a message to remove it. A confirmation prompt will appear first asking if you are sure.

  • Deleting a private message only removes it from your own view; it remains visible to the other person.
  • If you want to clear everything at once, use Delete my private messages above the message list. This removes all your private messages and memos from your view (public messages remain).

The counter

When you receive a new private message, you will see a red dot with a number next to "Bulletin Board" in the menu bar. As soon as you open the bulletin board, everything is marked as read and the dot disappears.


7. Spots — who do you hear?


Under Spots you report which station you are currently hearing. Enter the callsign, and if possible also the country, frequency and signal strength. This allows others to see at a glance where the band is open. You can also see today's spots from other members.


8. Following stations


Want to know when a particular station comes on the air? Follow that station. You can set how often you want to receive an email about it:


  • Daily — an email with the followed stations that are online
  • Weekly — an overview on Monday

This way you won't miss your regular contacts, even if you don't check the site all day.


9. Skip forecast and skip alerts


On the home page you will find the propagation forecast for the 11m band (27 MHz): the chance of skip, with the current values (SFI, sunspots, A-index, K-index) and a chart of the past few days.

You will see two components:


  • F2 — the skip resulting from solar activity. This is the measurable forecast.
  • Es (Sporadic E) — brief openings that occur mainly in summer. This is a seasonal estimate.

Receiving an email when the band opens. In your profile you can enable skip alerts. You choose:


  • How often: immediately (one notification as soon as the band opens), or at most once every 3, 6 or 24 hours — or off.
  • From which probability: only when there is a good chance (green), or also at a moderate chance (orange).

You will then receive an email saying "time to turn on the rig" as soon as conditions reach your threshold. No spam: with "immediate" you get one message per opening, not every half hour again.


10. Your QSO logbook


Under QSO Log you keep track of your contacts. Fill in the details of your contact and your logbook will grow automatically.

If you have your own GPS coordinates entered in your profile, the distance in km will be calculated automatically.


11. Switching language


The language buttons are in the top right corner: NL · EN · DE · ES · FR · IT. Click and the entire site switches along. Your choice is remembered for your next visit.


12. Info, FAQ and contact


  • Info — general information about the platform.
  • FAQ — answers to frequently asked questions. Will be updated as soon as possible!!
  • Contact — questions or problems? Email info@gocrazy.nl or use the Bulletin Board and send a message to the Admin (30RB01)

13. Deleting your account


Want to stop? At the bottom of your profile you can delete your account. Please note: this cannot be undone — your station and data will be permanently deleted.
